الفكرة الرئيسية تغطي غرض النص كله. التفصيل الصحيح قد يكون جوابًا خاطئًا إذا كان أضيق من الفقرة.

شرح أصلي للتدريب، وليس سؤال اختبار رسمي ولا درجة متوقعة.

متى يظهر هذا في التدريب؟

يظهر عندما يسأل السؤال عن main idea أو main purpose أو best summary. القطع في دليل القراءة تخلط هذا السؤال مع التفاصيل والاستنتاج؛ هذه الصفحة تعزل القرار نفسه.

الشرح

اقرأ لتعرف لماذا كُتب النص: إعلان خدمة، شرح تغيير، أم تقرير نتيجة. الجملة التي تصلح فكرة رئيسية تبقى صحيحة لو حذفت رقمًا واحدًا أو اسم قاعة.

التفصيل الصحيح خطير لأنه موجود في النص. أربعون طالبًا أو ألف كوب قد يكونان دليلًا على الفكرة، لا الفكرة نفسها.

احذر الخيار الأوسع من النص. إذا قال النص إن الاستثناء ضيق، فخيار «مُنع كل شيء» يزيد على المكتوب.

أمثلة

The writing center helps students revise one unclear paragraph; it does not rewrite their essays. — هذه خلاصة الغرض، أما عدد الحضور فتفصيل.

The department wants less waste, so it switched to reusable bottles and kept one exception. — الهدف أوسع من رقم الأكواب ومن الاستثناء.

أخطاء شائعة

اختيار رقم صحيح. الرقم قد يثبت الفكرة، لكنه لا يلخّصها.

توسيع الحكم. استثناء واحد لا يعني أن النص يمنع كل استخدام.

تلخيص الجملة الأولى فقط. أحيانًا الجملة الأولى تمهّد، والخلاصة تأتي في الغرض أو النتيجة.

كيف تحل السؤال؟

  1. غطِّ الخيارات واكتب غرض النص في جملة عربية واحدة.
  2. احذف أي خيار يكتفي بعدد أو باسم أو وقت.
  3. احذف أي خيار يضيف حكمًا لم يقله النص.
  4. أبقِ الخيار الذي يشرح لماذا كُتب النص كله.

The writing center opens a Saturday workshop for students who have a graded essay due within two weeks. Tutors do not rewrite papers. They help students find one unclear paragraph and revise its topic sentence. Last Saturday, 40 students attended, and the center added a second room. The workshop will continue only while demand stays high.
